The FDCL finances its solidarity work on Latin America and its development policy-related educational, awareness raising and advocacy work primarily through project funding from different public and private institutions.
We rely on donations to maintain our financial independence.
The FDCL is recognised as a non-profit organisation. Donations to the FDCL are therefore tax deductible in Germany. We issue donation receipts for the tax office automatically at the beginning of the following year.

Jobs & Internships
The vast majority of the FDCL’s work is carried out by voluntary staff. The FDCL and the Lateinamerika Nachrichten editing team always welcome collaboration and support. Opportunities to do something for the FDCL are almost endless!
Additionally, we offer internships to students interested in Latin America, solidarity work and the North-South relationship, who would like to learn more about the work of a movement-orientated non-governmental organisation working in the field of development policy. Tasks can be agreed depending on the student’s competences and interests.
An internship should last at least 6 weeks. A longer internship alongside your studies is also possible. Unfortunately we cannot pay interns. Based on a consultation with us, we do however pay a contribution to travel costs within or to Berlin.
